Welcome to 7th Grade

Supplies:

TCIS Planner (TCIS will provide students with a planner) 

Backpack/Book bag 

2 Notebooks for (1 for Science and 1 for Math) 

Calculator for Math (preferred TI-30)

3-Ring Binder for ELA

Small hand held pencil sharpener

Communication: 

Communication with parents will be through ParentVue. Please ensure you have access to receive messages

Daily Expectations

  • Students will arrive for school each day prepared and on time. 
  • Students will store their belongings in their locker, and carry their school supplies throughout the day 
  • Students will bring appropriate supplies to class and be ready for a full day of learning and participation. 
  • Students will transition to each classroom on time and take their assigned seat. Students will begin working on the Morning Meeting/Do Now while their teacher takes attendance and prepares to start class. 
  • Students will listen respectfully, ask questions at appropriate times and engage with their classmates to the best of their ability.
  • Students will understand the importance of listening during direct instruction, waiting their turn to ask a question/share an idea, and using an indoor voice. 
  • Students will complete all homework assignments and submit them to the teacher for grading
  • Students can find ALL missing work on each teacher’s Google Classroom pages 
  • Missing work and assessment retakes can be completed during Foundations on Mondays and Fridays 

Attendance

  • Students learn best when in school regularly, and are expected to come to school every day, unless the student is feeling ill or a parent has called in to excuse their absence 
  • Students being dropped off by a guardian must be at school by 7:15 am every morning. 
  • Students have a 4 minute passing time between classes, and are expected to be in their assigned seats when the bell rings at the start of each hour. Students are encouraged to go to the bathroom during passing time. 
  • Teachers will take attendance at the beginning of every hour as per school rules 

Homework Expectations 

  • Students will receive daily homework for Math and English Language Arts
  • Students can use their completed homework assignments on their Friday Homework Quiz
  • Students will receive Science homework every Monday and must turn it in by Thursday
  • Students will receive Social Studies homework every Monday and must turn it in by Wednesday 
  • Copies of all homework assignments can be found on each teacher’s Google Classroom page.
